Mountain Flying Course

Crossing the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Tennessee & Western North Carolina can be challenging. There is rugged terrain that can create turbulence but there is also scenic beauty that can only be appreciated from the air. With proper planning and training, flying in the mountains can be safe and enjoyable.

Smoky Mountain Flight Center offers professional training in the Appalachian Mountains. This half day course consists of 2 1/2 to 3 hours of flight training and over an hour of ground instruction.
